Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search box is transmitted directly to the outside company that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its result. Washington County Criminal History does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or contact submission may be kept long enough to review it and respond. We do not disclose that message outside our organization unless applicable law requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our systems automatically receive basic technical information when a visitor loads a page:

Washington County Criminal History does not build, retain, or sell a personal criminal-record database. Its content points readers to the Washington County Sheriff, local courts, TBI, TDOC, and the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry for government-held information. We do not use visitor data to create a record about someone else or to produce a consumer report. This website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Independent companies provide the search tools displayed on some pages. Information submitted through a tool is governed by that provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. The provider decides how long it keeps information and when it shares data. Review those terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Washington County offices, Tennessee agencies, court portals, legal-aid resources, or private search services. After a visitor leaves this website, the destination's privacy policy controls. Check that policy before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to follow activity across websites for targeted advertising. Washington County Criminal History does not control that external tracking.
